The Committee For Waste Reduction was created to raise awareness about, and combat the use of, single-use plastics in the Cairns region. The aim is to promote the reduction, re-use and recycling of resources for businesses and individuals alike.
The focus is to allow people to quickly and easily find the closest place to refill a water bottle, drop off some plastic bags for recycling or purchase some recycled or renewable products through the use of their website app.
